I blinked my eyes open, my head throbbing with pain. As my vision cleared, I realized I was lying on a soft bed in a dimly lit room. Panic coursed through me as I tried to remember how I got here. The last thing I recalled was the brutal attack by the children of the forest and the gut-wrenching loss of Sarah. Gingerly sitting up, I scanned the unfamiliar surroundings. The room was sparsely furnished, with worn wooden floors and a flickering candle casting eerie shadows on the walls. Where was I? Who had brought me here? I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and stood up, feeling a wave of dizziness wash over me. My muscles ached, and my body felt heavy with exhaustion. The events of the previous night weighed heavily on my mind, but I couldn't afford to dwell on them now. I took a tentative step forward, a cacophony of noise reached my ears. It was chaos outside. Shouts, howls, and the clash of metal against metal filled the air. My heart pounded with a mixture of fear and curiosity. What was happening? Determined to find answers, I hurriedly made my way to the door, pushing it open slowly to avoid drawing attention. The sight that greeted me stole the breath from my lungs. The town was under siege. A powerful wolf pack, larger and more formidable than any I had ever seen, had descended upon the once peaceful streets. Buildings were ablaze, their flames licking the night sky. People ran in every direction, their terrified screams piercing the air. Fear gnawed at my insides, but I couldn't stand idly by. I needed to find safety and understand what was happening. My gaze darted around, searching for any signs of life. That's when I noticed movement near a nearby alleyway. With cautious steps, I approached the alley, my heart pounding in my chest. And then, I saw him—the stranger who had saved me. He leaned against a wall, his face streaked with dirt and sweat, his eyes fierce with determination. "Hey, you!" I called out, my voice barely audible over the chaos surrounding us. He turned towards me, his eyes widening in recognition. "Woman, you're awake," he said, his voice laced with relief. "I wasn't sure if you'd make it." I closed the distance between us, my voice filled with urgency. "What's happening? Who are they?" He glanced back at the chaos unfolding in the town square before locking eyes with me. "They're a rival wolf pack. They're trying to take control of our territory. We've been at war for years, but this... this is unlike anything we've faced before. ~~~ When the dust settled after the invasion, I found myself standing in the midst of chaos. The town had fallen under the control of the alpha triplets, and their dominance was palpable. My heart raced as their piercing gazes locked onto me. I could sense their desire, their hunger, as they approached with predatory grace. Gabriel, whose voice was laced with authority, spoke first. "Who are you, my captivating beauty? Your presence alone has ignited a fire within us." Michael had a more smooth and seductive voice as he spoke, "Indeed, we've never seen such radiance before. You are like a beacon in the darkness, drawing us in." I swallowed hard, feeling the weight of their intense attention. "I am Amelia, just a mere resident of this town. Please, I beg of you, spare us and let us go." Raphael, chuckled darkly. "Why would we let such beauty slip through our fingers? You have caught our attention, Amelia. We desire you as our mate, to stand by our side." My mind spun with disbelief. "Mate? But I... I don't even know you! How can you claim such a thing?" Gabriel smirked, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Love may take time to grow, but desire can be instant. We are the alpha triplets, and we have never been captivated by anyone like this before." Michael uttered "Give us a chance, Amelia. We will prove ourselves worthy of your affection. Together, we can rule this town with strength and unity." his voice was husky. I hesitated, my thoughts racing. The weight of their words and the intensity in their eyes were both alluring and intimidating. Could I trust them? Could I find love amidst the chaos and darkness? Raphael stepped forward, his voice filled with sincerity. "Amelia, we may be dominant and fierce, but we also yearn for love. Give us a chance to show you that beneath our alpha exteriors, there beats hearts capable of tenderness and devotion." Their words resonated within me, stirring conflicting emotions. I looked into their eyes, seeing determination, desire, and a glimmer of vulnerability. The town may have fallen, but perhaps, just perhaps, love and unity could rise from the ashes. I took a deep breath, my voice trembling but resolute. "Are you sure you would want me as your mate?” I questioned them, they had no idea of my curse but I was scared to reveal it. The alpha triplets exchanged glances, their expressions filled with determination and unwavering conviction. Gabriel took a step forward, his voice filled with sincerity. "Amelia, we want you to be ours." My heart pounded in my chest as I weighed their words. They were offering me a chance at a new life, a fresh start away from the tragedy that had haunted me for so long. And in return, they asked for my voluntary companionship, my willingness to stand by their side. Swallowing the fear that threatened to overwhelm me, I nodded slowly. "I... I accept your offer. If it means the safety and freedom of the town, then I will become your mate." A mixture of relief and triumph crossed their faces, their eyes shining with a newfound hope. Gabriel extended his hand towards me, a silent invitation. With trembling hands, I reached out and placed my hand in his, feeling a spark of connection ignite between us. The air seemed to shift as the contract was sealed. Unknown to me, I had just become part of a pack rivalry like no other.
