Aria
Its answer rocked Aria to the point that she didn’t even realize she was shaking until the beast glance down at her sides. She tightened her fists upon the realization that she knew she had to come up with a response. Obviously, it understood her in some way, but could she negotiate with it on that alone? Can she get it to negotiate at all? She did not want it to hurt anyone else, especially her friends. She took a deep breath trying to wrapping her brain around the whole situation, searching for the right combination of words to string together. Breathing in deeply, then letting her body relax a little, she spoke with a tremble in her voice.
“Okay… alright… f-fine. Do you want me? Let’s make a deal then?” It stared directly into her eyes. “You leave. Right here right now, and don’t come back.” It blinked and tilted its head to one side slightly. “No more burning, no more hurting people.” Somehow Aria could tell it was frowning at the proposal she was making, but she had to make it to save her friends. If it could agree to it, perhaps she could find a way to escape later when it was not looking. This monster had the ability to speak and was fully conscious of what it was saying, so it had to have reason in some fashion. The beast’s voice was strong and booming, and even Aria was shaken by it from being so close to it when it spoke.
“What could you possibly offer me in exchange for not harming these….Humans.” It hissed as it glared at the people from the corner of its eye.
“If you agree to leave now, I’ll…. go with you.” It rolled its eyes and scoffed at her offer as if not to believe that she would be so willing to leave with it. It lifted its head just enough so that she looked up at it over the ridges of her lenses.
Its head now towered over her. “Why should I make a deal with you when you are clearly no match for me? I can easily take you whether you wish me to or not.”
“True, but I would spend every breath of my energy stopping you, and I am very stubborn. I would not make this easy for you.”
It frowned; its eyes harshly glared down at her. “Why should I trust you to keep your word?” She couldn’t blame it for doubting her words. Whatever this monster had planned for her, she wasn’t going to want to stick around to find out. She stared up at him as he glared at her in disbelief.
If this beast was going to stop his rampage, she had to show her seriousness, even if it was a lie. “Because if you agree to the deal, I won’t hide,” she assured him, “and I won’t run. I won’t even resist, just stop destroying and hurting everyone. Do you understand me? I’ll go with you. You leave them,” she gestured to the crowd who was eagerly anticipating what will happen next, “you take me. Deal?” The beast seemed deep in thought. It constantly glanced at the crowd and then at her. Finally, it lifted its head slowly all the way up before giving her a twinge of a smile (that she could recognize), and it spoke. As it raised its head higher before opening its jaws to speak, Aria knew right then that she had made a grave miscalculation.
With a low rumble, it opened its mouth and responded, “Deal!”
As quick as the word came, its jaws opened even wider, and its head barreled down at Aria, scooping her up and swallowing her whole in one swift move. Everyone around them gasped in pure horror as they watch the young woman get swallowed by this monster. In the background, just before everything went dark, Aria could hear her friends’ screams.
Donavan
A girl screamed as Donavan devoured the little female. He assumed she and other women around his female were her friends. He admitted this might be a bit drastic in his methods but was the quickest transportation method for her and her protection during flight. He did not want to risk carrying her in his talons during flight and risking her falling from an incredible height.
“Holy f*****g s**t,” her friend screamed to the horror of what she witnessed, her friend getting devoured by some beast. The rest group gasped while covering their mouths or putting her hands on the side of their faces in fear. A squadron leader gave the order to open fire on him, and at that moment, Donavan decided it was time to go. Even though he could disable all of their weapons so they wouldn’t hurt each other trying to kill him, he felt the overwhelming need to protect her and that took first priority. He was sure she was one of his kind, but she either did not know how to transform or that part of her was dormant since she lived among humans all her life. Whatever the case, maybe he was determined to keep her safe regardless; besides, he had made a promise to leave and not harm anyone in exchange for letting him take her. If she found that he had lied, she might not be so cooperative later. Ha, let him take her. She must have been joking. He was going to do that anyway, whether she wished it or not. She drove his beast crazy how could he not take her. She might object to it at first, but she would understand and even desire it once they were together.
“Aria,” one of her friends screamed and attempted to go after him; however, all three of her friends held her back. Oh yeah, it was definitely time to leave. As the bullets were unleashed and bounce off of his scales, Donavan sprinted into action. He unfurled his wings and galloped to gain thrust and momentum to take off. Within a few seconds, he roared and jumped into the air as his wings gave flight.
Aria
She could hardly see anything, let alone tell where she was. Aria slid down the long gooey path. It was dark, and the walls were squishy and with a little slime. How far do things go? She thought she could hold on to something in this tunnel, but when she would try to grab any part of the walls to slow her descent, it would slip out of her grip. She fell for what seemed like several minutes until she finally rested at the bottom of wherever she was. Was she in its stomach? If so, it would be a problem later if it started to digest her. She could only guess that this creature's stomach had ten times more stomach acid than that of a cow’s, and if her guess was correct, she was in grave danger. She had to find a way out. As dark as it was, a small window of light came from a certain section of its throat. Aria placed her fingers through the hole, attempting to see if it was a way out first and then if it could stretch to fit her whole body. To her surprise, the whole body flinched, and instead of providing the way out, it lit up the entire area to show the sky and clouds. Aria screamed at the sight of suddenly being totally submerged in the sky. She knew she was in the belly of the beast but this view screwed with her brain thinking that she was flying. What kind of creature is this? To project images of the outside from within like a hologram was the stuff of movies and books. This must be something to relax their food before digesting it, she thought. Aria quickly panicked at the idea of being eaten. She wasn’t going to be this things dinner. She threw herself against the squishy walls, thrashing about even claw at the walls to get the thing's attention. Perhaps if she made enough fuss inside, it would lose interest and throw her up. She was hoping for the throw-up part. She was jerked violently to the side as she heard its voice echo inside. It groaned before speaking a rough tone. “Pipe down in there, little human. We are almost home.”
She yelled with frustration. “Let me out of here. Damn you.” Aria continued slamming her body up against the walls. She wasn’t going to stop until it decided to let her go. Why didn't it just devour her, and why hold her here in this stomach thing? She could only guess that the beast wanted to save her for when it got back to its layer or worse. She had been thrashing about for at least an hour and was starting to get tired. She had to take a break if she would fight it later to get out of here; thus she waited until she could get enough strength to fight it off again.
Donavan
High above the clouds, Donavan could hear down below him helicopters, and he immediately camouflaged himself to blend in with the clouds. He would stay like this until they got to his property. Getting an updraft from the air currents, he was able to fly faster than normal, and at this rate, they would reach his estate within a matter of a few hours. It was a good thing he lived over fifty miles from the place; otherwise, this trip would be very uncomfortably long for both of them. Suddenly there was squirming and thrashing in his throat. He groaned, Pipe down in there, little human. We are almost home.” Man, she’s feisty. She had been thrashing about for the past hour before they reached the house. Donavan was sure she was passed out for most of the ride because she wasn’t moving. Now that they have approached his lands, she started to stir these last few moments as he reached his estate. She still thrashing about in his throat a little, and he growled again to let her know of her annoyance. She would only make the pouch irritated if she kept moving about like that, which would cause juices to flow into the area. He had to hurry to his home before that happened.
An hour later, he passed two old oak trees that marked his territory's borderlines. His was heart started to beat faster as he passed the gate to the pasture leading up to his mansion only a few seconds after that. He could not wait to see his mate’s face when he finally made her his tonight. Despite her protests and what happened today, she would be more than willing to forgive these moments of discomfort after tonight. He would personally make an effort to pleasure her until she was satisfied. He shook his head. He needed to focus; there was so much to do he could not just dwell on claiming her, but his beast purred at the thought of seeing her stretched out underneath him, on his bed bathed in moonlight. He grunted; the swelling in his groins reflected his inner thoughts to the point that it hurt. He rattled his head back and forth to get the thoughts out of his head, what was wrong with him. He had never had any feelings like this toward a woman before. Just a moment ago, he couldn't have care less about wanting a woman or getting to know her, but now he found himself imagining making love to her and getting to know everything about her. Where did all these strong feelings come from, and what brought them to the surface with such force? It was like he had no control when it came to wanting her. It took a lot of effort to keep himself from being all over her in front of everyone in the parking lot when he saw her for the first time. As he came near his home, he shifted all of his attention to making sure his mate was content.
Finally, he swooped in near the front doors of his house and landed softly on the ground. Lance was already there waiting for him with an odd grin on his lips. He, too, had already transformed; no doubt to make him feel more comfortable due to the odd series of events. Lance greeted Donavan with a hand gesture and turned toward the doors, which flew open. At least a dozen people came out, mostly servants and butlers but people who Donavan had come to know and trust just as much as Lance. They were all concerned about him, obviously. Word got out about a monster on the evening news, and because of that, everyone was worried that one of their kind had been captured. All of the staff were asking if he was okay or if he was hurt, Donavan didn’t think about it as much that he should and Lance scolded him for not being too concerned like he was.
