Yeah, I’m pissed that Liam put him down and then got distracted by the fact that some guy was asking if I was a single mother and all, but if I’m being honest, I had a part to play in that as well. And I have to remember that the important thing is that he’s okay. But Liam?
“I am?” Liam jitters out. His entire body is trembling lightly around me, unprecedented behavior from him for sure. Does he not notice?
“Yes, Liam, you are.” I blink twice before I realize what this is and let out a small smile. “You’re becoming a parent.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Liam pointedly asks me.
“It means you were scared too. It’s okay.” I soften my voice. This is his first time losing sight of Theo and I remember my first time, it scared the holy hell out of me.
“I don’t understand.”
