“Got your friend into a cab and sent home?” the doorman asked when Dirk and the others arrived at the entrance to the club. “Yeah. Guy never could hold his liquor,” Dirk told him in disgust. “At least he had you all to look after him. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve poured into cabs because they came here alone,” the doorman said with a shake of his head. Dirk nodded then joined Maverick who was waiting for him.
