Chapter 23 “That was fast. I didn’t expect to see you for at least a week. Simpler than you thought it would be?” Mr. Powell asked late the next morning when Dirk appeared outside the cage. “Buzz me in and I’ll tell you,” Dirk replied, shifting the large bag he was carrying from his shoulder to his hand. Powell did, and they went into the back room so that Dirk could give him Charlie Parker’s saxophone. After Powell put it in the safe, they returned to the cage.
