After tending to the infant, the two women chatted for a while until Agnes declared she was getting ready for bed. Katherine followed and headed to her own room, but could not bring herself to turn in for the night. She knew the prince was out there wondering the town and she wanted to be ready on the off chance something happened to him. She frowned, worried over where he had gone; she wished she had escorted him. To fill in time, Katherine double checked her belongings and made sure everything was in its place.
