Chapter 25

281 Words
Chapter 25 ‘GOD, I f*****g HATE addicts!’ came the opening line. Leonard smiled as he started on Ryan’s latest letter. His friend was on one of his rants again. ‘This one truly is disgusting Leonard; you wouldn’t believe what I witnessed tonight.’ Ryan painted the scene for Leonard in all its gory detail. He really had a way of describing his experiences that gave Leonard a vicarious taste of what Ryan’s life must be like, so different to his own boring existence. Ryan finished by asking Leonard hypothetically, ‘Can you imagine how we might teach him a lesson, how we could make an example of him to show just how disgusting is his food addiction?’ Leonard put the letter down on the table and immediately started planning. He had enjoyed the last couple of theoretical exercises of imagining the acts for Ryan and relished the thought of working out how they could send a message to such a disgusting, hopeless addict as The Blimp. He pulled out his notepad and worked through the problem, laying out the challenges and covering them off. Things like how to disable the victim, how to transport the massive bulk, what message to send, where to carry out the act and how to access the site. Leonard carefully mapped it all out in his mind, imagining the details that Ryan’s inferior intellect could not grasp, to fulfil the vision of Ryan’s imaginings. The next night, Leonard committed the complete plan to paper as he prepared his reply to Ryan. He started with the same opening line he had used in the last two letters; “Ryan, this is only for us to imagine—I trust you won’t do anything with this information.”
