Rowan's POV I woke because the room was warm. That alone was enough to put me in a bad mood. I never slept through the night. Years of leading Blackwood had taken care of that. Even on the rare occasions my body gave in, my mind never really did. Every unfamiliar sound, every shift in the wind, every footstep outside my door dragged me awake before dawn.
