Chapter Sixty-seven Rowan's POV I knew exactly who'd left the plate the moment I walked back into my study that evening. There was no mystery to solve, no genuine uncertainty requiring investigation. The staff wouldn't have brought food up without announcing it first, and even if they had, they wouldn't have set it down with quite that particular deliberate care, moved the coffee cups aside without disturbing my papers, left everything else exactly as I'd abandoned it hours earlier.
