She blew out an exasperated breath. “Sorry Bug.” She changed the tapping to a loving caress. “My bank account is emptier than my stepfather’s head. Let’s get the mortgage paid for this month and find Raki, then I’ll see what I can do.” Her route south took her past Langdon’s church and the traffic ground to a halt at the lights. A crowd gathered on the footpath in front of the angular building. It cheered as one as a bride and groom stepped onto the porch. A couple of wedding guests tossed rice and confetti until the crusty verger appeared to stop them messing up
