The tube of lube bulged in her sleeve and pulled the fabric taut, but the cop didn’t notice. He seemed impatient to get her into the expensive silver car parked at right angles to the front door. Deactivating the central locking with a decisive jab of his key, he hauled open the passenger door and tapped an impatient beat on the handle.
