Katherine smirks at us while Gigi leans in close to me and nudges me with her shoulder. I angled my head close to hers while still keeping an eye on Katherine and her little squad, who began spreading out as though marking each of us individually. I feel a wave wash over me followed by a small brush of breeze as a thin layer of magic pushes forward and forms a partial shield in front of Gigi and I.
