Damn the fated

I stood there in front of him completely speechless. The vampire King himself and he was so handsome. The most handsome man I have ever laid eyes upon. He stood tall at around 6-4 and he had perfectly combed back jet black hair. His eyes were black around the edges and then mixed into a bright beautiful ombré of gold. His face was perfectly contoured and he was built better than any vampire I had ever seen. He had a broad muscular chest and the rest of his form followed suit. The sight of him would repulse me but his scent was flooding my senses and I was partially aroused. I tried to pull myself together, keeping my composure. How could this be? How could the moon Goddess curse me with a Vampire mate? Sapphire was rolling and purring in my mind at the sight of him. I worked hard to fight every instinct I possessed not to embrace him. He looked deep into my eyes, so deep I could swear he was staring directly into my soul. His mouth opened for a moment but a word never left his beautiful lips. We stood in a trance, unable to comprehend the bond between us. The forbidden bond that has had many innocent lives slaughtered. This couldn't happen. This couldn't be. My mind went blank and for a second I forgot what I had even come here for. Nothing made sense anymore. Why would the moon Goddess do this to me? I wanted to turn my tale and run but I shook my head at the thought of it. I began to panic. What would I tell my army? My Pack? My Realm? My Father? This is all wrong. "Queen Aurora?" He asked me, his voice was deep and gruff. It sent butterflies throughout my body. I nodded to him to confirm it was me. "King Ajax?" I asked back and he nodded to me. "You requested my presence for the truce?" He asked me, "Yes." Was all I could muster as a response. How could he think so straight? Was he planning to reject me? Maybe I should reject him first. I took a few steps closer to him, his breathing hitched. He smelt divine and it sent sapphire racing around in my mind again. "Don't fight the bond Aurora, he's our mate. Chosen by the moon Goddess herself. There must be a reason for this." She purred in my mind. "This is all wrong, Sapphire. Stop distracting me." I blocked her out of my thoughts. This bond should disgust me, he should disgust me. "Are you talking to your wolf? Your eyes glazed over for a minute there." He eyed me curiously as he asked his question. "I was." I confirmed "I've blocked her out now though, so she wont be interrupting us anymore." I explained. "So, it's just the two of us now?" He spoke seductively and stepped toward me, closing the gap between us even more. "No." I shook my head, taking a step back. "This can't happen." I pointed my finger to the floor, stomping my foot down. "No?" He questioned, walking even closer to me, almost face to face with me now. He reached out his hand to cup my cheek and when his hand made contact with me, sparks erupted from his touch, sending waves of pleasure throughout my body. He leaned in closer, bringing his mouth close to my ear. "We are destined for one another, Aurora. You are mine and I am yours. We can make our own future." He hissed softly into my ear, sending shivers down my spine and sparks of desire warmed deep within my groin. He pressed himself against me and took a deep breath against my neck, inhaling my scent. The arousal within me was getting too hard to ignore. "Mmmm." He hummed into my neck after sniffing my neck once more, I felt him stiffen against me. "I cannot mark you like a wolf can, but I can leave a mark of my own here to show that you are all mine." He whispered into my ear once more. A soft moan escaped my lips, my entire body responding to his every word and touch. "Accept the truce, Aurora, and be mine." He begged and wrapped his arms tightly around my body. The sparks flowing through me responding to his touch sent my mind into a euphoric state until I repeated his demand in my head. Truce, the truce! The war! I used all my inner strength to push the hypnotic desire of the mate bond out of my mind and grabbed him by the throat. His arms fell in shock and he grasped my hand frantically as I squeezed around his neck tightly. I lifted him from the floor and threw him across the tent, sending him flying onto a table that broke into two halves at his impact. The sound of the crash alerted my warriors that it was time to ambush. I heard the thundering of paws along the ground as it started to shake the very floor beneath us. Then I heard the snarling and growling of my warriors and the hissing of vampires coming from the other side of the field. A loud crash sounded from outside the tent as our armies collided against one another. I looked into Ajax's eyes and he looked back into mine as the realization of what was happening sunk in. He brought an army of his own. "You brought your army?!" I snapped at him. " You did, too." He scoffed. Rage burst through my veins and the wind began to howl around my feet. I scowled at him and listened to the battle around us unfolding. Pained blood, curdling screams ripped through the night air. The sounds of bones cracking and battle howls echoed into the night. My people did not lay their lives on the line for me to have a disgusting mate bond with a vampire. I glared at him as he lifted himself off the floor, brushing his clothes off in an attempt to make himself look presentable again. How dare the damned moon goddess put me in this dishonorable position? The thought sickened me, I shook it from my mind. "I don't know what the moon Goddess was thinking of fating me to the likes of you! You and your kind disgust me! Everything you stand for revolts me. I am not going to let some pathetic mate bond cloud my judgement!" I spat. "You will be mine, one way or the other, Aurora. Your own goddess has made every perfect and beautiful inch of you just for me." His eyes were full of desire as they loomed over my body, practically undressing me. I shuddered at the very thought of his hands being all over my body prior to me shaking the hypnosis of the bond. "Ugh!" I spat again with disgust. "You are right about one thing only, King Ajax. You will be mine in a way. Well, your head will at least after I shred it from your body." I felt my canines grow as I growled through them, my anger seething through my tone. "I will kill you." I growled. He laughed at me, only fueling my anger more. He was going to know of his mistake, I was not joking. My eyes began to glow and then the glow shifted through my body. Ajax's eyes grew wide with slight fear. I fed my power with all the rage I could, cursing the moon goddess for this sickening joke of hers. "Stop this show, Aurora. Accept your destiny. We will be together. We can unite our realms. You can be more powerful than you have ever dreamed of." He pleaded. "Power is not what I seek, Vampire. Vengeance is all I crave. Your death will bring justice to my people. The ones you kidnapped and beheaded. Tell my servant her services are cut." I snapped my jaws. "You speak in riddles, Aurora. I am not sure I am the one you seek." He pleaded again. "Lies." I growled. "Nothing but lies spew from a vampire's mouth. Enough chatter." I roared, venom lacing my growl. The wind had started to pick up around my feet and my heart began to race. I started panting from the rage within. My powers surged through me, feeding on my raw emotions. Emotional pain is one of the worst factors for me losing control of my power. Ajax stepped back and tripped, falling onto the floor. My entire body became a glowing orb of bright white light and as my power grew stronger, I grew brighter. The wind around me was getting stronger now, as if a tornado was forming around my feet. My body began to levitate and as I looked below me I could just make out Ajax on the ground shielding his eyes with his arm. "I am Aurora Moon, Queen of the Black Wood Realm and Luna of the Silver Crescent Pack, Reject you." My voice bellowed as if I was from another dimension. Pain ripped through me in an instant, causing me to scream out at the top of my lungs. The tent above me flung high into the air, exposing the battle field around us. I had lost control of all my emotions. I had never felt this way before. I worked hard on trying to calm myself but it was to no avail. I had lost control of my powers and although I begged in my mind for all of this to end, it was no use. The power within me would only increase, by now I had lifted high above the battlefield, lighting the sky up as if it were daylight, the wind roaring around me. I couldn’t hear anything but the roaring wind and I couldn’t see through my own glowing aura. I felt a huge surge of power come from within me and a white blast of light shot from out of my body. It sent a blast of a white ring of light that pushed everything in its path, almost taking down the tree line around the battle field. I landed back on the field floor where I first began to levitate and collapsed. I could barely breathe, my vision blurred and then faded into the darkness.
