Cold water rushed over me, pulling me from my deathly sleep. I chocked out, trying to gasp for air and holding my neck. Pain radiated from my neck as I tried to inhale air. I gripped onto the noose which was still pulled tightly around my neck, wriggling it loose and pulling it over my head, throwing it across the room. I inhaled deeply and slowly trying to fill my lungs of what they had been deprived of for so long. I winced as pain radiated up from my leg, I noticed the gold shackle around my ankle again tethering me back to a wall by the gold chain. I looked over at the noose which had landed in front of a pair of boots. I froze for a moment, noting that I hadn't taken in my surroundings yet.
