CHAPTER 1: The first Meeting

Chapter 1

THE loud music hyped the people at the club. We are here to celebrate my Birthday. Some of my friends are already wasted so they bid their Goodbye. I am feeling a little bit dizzy, but I didn't stop drinking so as my other friends. We are still playing a game; Truth or Dare.

I groaned in annoyance when the bottle pointed at me. Again. Sigh

"Dare" I answered immediately.

"Oh! Ayah, Ikaw na Naman?" Lance said while laughing.

"Stop laughing and just tell me the dare" I rolled my eyes when Hanna gestured him to come closer and told him something.

His face lit up like what Hanna just said was something so brilliant. "I dare you to kiss a random girl" Hanna and Ria were laughing their asses off.

"What?! Are u serious?!" I mean, they could've dared me to kiss a guy, but a girl? What the hell.

"What? You can't say no, Ayah" I haven't tried kissing a GIRL before, but I don't wanna be a killjoy. Ugh.

"I'll get back at u!" I said before standing up and finding someone to kiss. I just hope she won't slap me. I approached the bar and ordered a drink. I need alcohol, So I would be brave enough to do that dare.

While drinking I noticed someone sat beside me. She ordered the same drink that I'm having and drank silently. I must admit she's pretty, but not as pretty as me. Lol. I laughed at what I'm thinking when I suddenly remembered the dare.

Sya nalang kaya halikan ko? Maybe I should ask her permission first. I hope she'll say yes I mean, it's just a kiss? right? Oh, well. Here it goes.

"Hi!" I smiled and waved my hand at her. "Hey" she smiled back and I can see her dimples showing. "Ah...this may sound weird, but can I kiss you?" Yeah, I probably sounded weird. But to my surprise, she just smiled and said "Yeah, no problem" Woah. I didn't thought she'll agree that fast.

I moved closer to her and did a quick glance at my friends. They are raising their thumbs up and smiling like an idiot. I rolled my eyes and drag my gaze back at the girl I was about to kiss. She is looking at me while smirking a bit. I didn't waste more time and kissed her.

She was still sitting so I was looking down at her, but It's not a problem because she's tall. Ka level ng ulo nya yung ilong ko. I suddenly felt a tingling sensation in my stomach when she moved her lips. I was shocked, I was planning to make it a short kiss, but I was too carried away to pull out. I closed my eyes as I savored the moment and moved my lips against hers. Her lips tasted like strawberry. She encircled her arms at my waist and pulled me closer.

I am in between her legs, pressing my body against hers, but I did not care at all. My attention was on her other hand that is now holding my neck softly, pulling my face closer to hers. Her other hand is on my waist, holding it tight--so I won't back away--but not too tight.

She bit my lower lip and I felt something weird that made me pull out of the kiss. The f**k?! I looked at her with wide eyes. I just enjoyed the kiss! Am I really that drunk? Why did I enjoy it?

"Why are you so surprised?" She asked me while still holding my waist. "Uh...I need to go" I pushed her arms a little so she can get her arms off of my waist.

She stood up when I was about to go and held my arm softly.

"Can I know your name?" She asked softly and at the same time sexily. Damn. How can she do that? "It's Zaia" I held my hand in front of her "I'm Alexa.." She accepted my hand." Nice to meet you" We both said at the same time.

Funny, we are introducing ourselves after we kissed and not before it. She's still holding my hand as if she doesn't want to let it go. "Ah...I'm going now".

She smiled at me before letting go of my hand. I was kinda disappointed. KINDA. I like the feeling of her hand against mine. I don't know why.

Maybe because her hand is so soft.

I look so stupid, still standing in front of her when I told her I needed to go. Maybe I should ask her to join us at our table? She's alone right? I should ask her.

"Hey, do you want to join us at our table?" I asked. Hoping she'll say yes.

She's looking at me intently. Wondering about my sudden invitation. "You're alone right? So I was thinking if u want to join us...." A small smile appeared on her lips as she looked away.

Huh? Did I say something funny?

"No, it's okay. I am actually waiting for someone" While rubbing her finger at her lower lip. Thinking it can hide her smile. She looks sexy doing that. What? "You're cute when you're nervous" What did she say? Me? Nervous?

She saw the confusion written on my face so, she pointed at my hands. Squeezing each other. Right. I. Am. Nervous. Because she looks so intimidating.

I laughed nervously "Okay then, enjoy your night" I smiled at her for the last time before leaving and walked towards our table.

"What was that?" Ria asked while wiggling her eyebrows. I'm going to erase that later.

"Ugh? The Dare?" Lance is trying so hard to shut his mouth. Afraid that he will burst out of laughter. He look like a f*****g tomato.

"You could've kissed her cheeks, you know" My eyes widened at what Hanna said.

"I could've what?!" If looks could kill, they are buried right now.

"Kissed her cheeks," She said while chuckling.

"You s-said kiss--" My words were caught off when Lance suddenly laughed. He laughed so loud than the music.

"Hindi ko n-naman sinabe na sa lips, dba?" He said while trying so hard to shut his big mouth. I think he swallowed a big ass megaphone.

"Oh, f**k you! Gagantihan kita! Gagantihan talaga kita!" I yelled angrily, but they just smiled wickedly! They look like an addict.

"Hehe...tapos na laro, Ayah" He said while scratching his head. HE HAVE KUTO.

"Hindi! I'll have my revenge pa!" I was about to grab a bottle and was about to spin it when he suddenly stood up. He's holding his stomach while laughing. Ang saya nya no?

They are all standing now while laughing. "Come on Ayah, we need to go home now," Ria said, convincing me to go home so I can't have my revenge.

I looked at my wristwatch. It's nearing 12. They are right, I really need to go.

"I hate u guys!" Padabog akong tumayo at kinuha ang bag ko. "We love you too, Birthday Girl" and just like that, the frown that is written on my face faded and I smiled. Bati na kami.

Before I exited the club I glanced back at the girl earlier. I saw her looking at me too. I smiled and waved my hand. She did the same, so I turned around and walked away.

Lance drove us home. He's the only one who didn't drink that much. Actually, we are not drunk, just a little bit tipsy. Anyway, Lance is older than us by 2 years, I think. Apat kaming mag-kakaibigan since Highschool. We are all Single and ready to Mingle.

I wonder if that girl is single too.

I mentally slapped myself when I remembered the girl that I kissed earlier. I also remembered how I liked the kiss! I mean, she's a girl and we just kissed and I liked it! I don't swing that way? Urgh! Nvm. It's just a kiss. What was her name again? Alexa? She's lucky! She's the one who got my first GIRL kiss! Ah...was there even a thing? Nevermind.

They dropped me home first. "Bye Ayah! Happy Birthday again, love" They greeted me again. "Thanks for today. Love u. Be home safely my loves" I turned around and they watched me as I opened the gate and got in. I waved goodbye and closed the gate.

When I entered the door. I saw Manang sleeping on the couch. She probably waited for me to come home. I feel bad.

"Manang...I'm home na po" I whispered while lightly tapping her shoulder. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and stands up. "Ija, nag enjoy ka ba?" She asked while closing the windows. "Yeah...Manang?" She turned around. "Hmm?" I was hesitant to ask, but I did it anyway. "Did...Papa came home?" I asked.

It looks like she already knew I was going to ask this. She sighed. "Hindi, pero may pina deliver syang regalo" I was slightly disappointed at her answer but was replaced with excitement when she handed me a medium size box. It has small holes, weird.

"Hawakan mong mabuti" she said as if something in here is so precious. Umupo ako sa couch at pinatong sa lap ko yung box. My eyes twinkled in happiness when I opened the box and saw a sleeping puppy. It looks so cute.

Beside the puppy, I spotted a letter and read it.

'Anak, Happy Birthday! This is my gift for you. I know you wanted to buy this but have no time to. Hope you are happy on your Special Day. Papa loves u. Happy Birthday again!'

I smiled after reading it. I looked at the sleeping puppy, I've always wanted to have a puppy. She's so cute. I need to buy things for her tomorrow. I opened my phone and listed some things for me to buy for my puppy.

I turned at Manang who is sitting beside me. "Tulog na po ba si Mama?" After we have a little celebration here, She agreed to let me go out with my friends.

"Siguro" I nodded and told her to sleep already. I walked towards the staircase and went to my room. I placed the sleeping puppy together with the box beside my bed. I don't want to wake her up so, I didn't get her out of the box, she has a blanket under her so she's probably comfortable. Then, I got out and knock on my Mom's Room.

"Come in!" I opened the door and saw her watching TV. She smiled when she saw me. "Hey sweetheart, how was it?" She asked while signaling me to sit on her bed.

"It was okay Mom, I have fun" I smiled when she covered her nose. "Ugh! Your mouth smells bad because of the alcohol" I laughed at her. "Right. Because I was in the Club?" I sarcastically said, and she just rolled her eyes.

"So, you just watched K-Dramas for nearly 4 Hours?" Mom is addicted to K-Drama's. I think she already watched it all. "Kind of," she said. I arched my eyebrow and looked at her. "You're not planning to stay up til morning aren't you?" She looked away while laughing.

"I am" she answered playfully. "See! That's why you have dark circles under your eyes" She stopped laughing and faced me. "But I'm still pretty, right?" She asked while wiggling her eyebrows. "Yeah...." Her smile turned big. "--Pretty panda" I continued and she glared at me.

We talked or should I say she was spoiling me scenes of K-Drama's that I am currently watching for almost an hour before I returned to my room. I checked if the puppy is awake. When I confirmed she's not I laid in my bed.

What should I call her?

I was thinking of a name for my new puppy, when I remembered the girl at the bar earlier, Alexa. Alexa is a nice name. That would be nice for a dog name too. Don't get me wrong, I didn't think that because her face looked like a dog--I just thought Alexa was a nice name.

But, whatever. Why would I even name my dog after her? That will shock her--naming my dog after her--when I see her. Ugh. Who said we will meet again. The hell is wrong with me. I'm even talking to myself. I'm getting weirder like lance the idiot.

Back to naming my dog. Bubbles is a cute name. Okay. Bubbles it is. I got up to turn my lights off and then, Umayos ako ng higa at nagsimulang magdasal. After praying, I turned my small moon lamp on at my small table beside my bed.
