Pregnant with Enemy’s Alpha Baby

Chapter 5: Confrontation
.
‘Come with me’
‘Come with me’
Sebastian’s words keep on ringing in my head as I thought about what would have happened if I didn’t refuse. What would have happened if I had followed him?
I sighed resting my back against the crusty wall.
Maybe I wouldn’t have ended up in this good for nothing prison.
Ivy and Jerome really had no conscience left in their spirits. I’ve been down here for two days now, if they leave me for the next 6 hours then it might as well be 3 days.
I looked around the small prison that I had been put in and shook my head.
If someone had told me a month ago that this would be my life, I would have rebuked the person.
How my life had changed in one month, if dung know.
First finding out that Jerome wasn’t my mate and then him mating Ivy in the next second. That was one of the most painful memories that I don’t think I would ever forget.
And then spending a night with a random stranger thinking it would amount to nothing.
Subconsciously, I rested my hand on my still flat tummy.
If only Sebastian knew…
If only I knew, then I wouldn’t have gone out that night. I would have just cried myself to sleep but my stubborn self decided to leave and look where that got me.
Mated to the head alpha of the pack that was my own pack’s enemy and also pregnant for him.
Yes, thank you moon goddess, my life is going great.
I thought sarcastically to myself.
‘Why are you even complaining? This is your fault!.’
I paused stunned hearing my omega lash back at me.
She had been active since Sebastian scent marked me.
Growing up, I thought I was one of those weird wolves who didn’t have a wolf of their own. And for the fact that my wolf didn’t even show up at my 18th day, I was disappointed.
But since I met Sebastian, she has been active nonstop.
‘Bad omega! Bad omega’
She chanted in my head as I rolled my eyes trying to silence her out.
She was probably saying that because of the fact that I rejected Sebastian’s offer to be with him.
But that was such an absurd request. I can’t just leave my pack and stroll with him into the enemy’s quarters.
“Hm it hasn’t been a week yet, prison does do bad to people. Look at my darling Aurora whispering to herself.”
I came back into reality as I heard the sound of that voice I would forever hate.
“Hello, Aurora.”
I turned and of course it was her.
Ivy, she stood regally, her chin tucked upwards as she looked like me like I was beneath her.
I resisted the urge to scoff at her presence.
She was enjoying the role of being the pack’s future Luna too much. It was what she had always wanted anyways.
After making me feel like I was the one, she went ahead to steal Jerome away from me.
I fault myself for not seeing the bad in her.
“Ugh! How do you even breathe in here?.” Ivy complained raising a hand to her nose as she fanned air towards her face.
There wasn’t anything here and I knew it.
I would have smelt it.
She was just trying to make fun of me and I wasn’t going to allow that.
“What is the pack’s Luna doing here, coming to visit a peasant’s prison cell?.” I asked loudly as I arched an eyebrow requesting for an answer. “I thought you seemed yourself bigger than this, Ivy.”
“I am bigger than this.” She affirmed walking closer to the cell before stopping meters away. “But you, it seems like the place fits you so much, I wouldn’t mind letting you stay here for free all the days of your life.”
She said and chuckled.
I gritted my teeth out of anger. “Nothing is funny, Ivy.”
“Well it certainly wasn’t funny when you slapped me in front of others two days ago!.” She snapped back at me.
I scoff lashing out. “You accused me of sleeping with the enemy? That was an honest reaction!.”
“It doesn’t matter because I was right.”
“No you were wrong!.”
Ivy rolled her eyes. “Cut the bullshit, Aurora. I can literally smell the scent oozing out from your glands from all the way here. You don’t smell like your usual self, you smell like another alpha, another alpha who we suspect to be from our enemy pack.”
She was right.
She was close to the truth.
I couldn’t let her figure this whole thing out.
“And how would you know what my scent is now? Huh? If you remember correctly, Ivy, since Jerome announced you as his mate and marked you right in front of everybody, the two of you haven’t talked to me since then. So how would you know what my scent smells like? Scents change, you know, and you probably didn’t smell this one coming.”
“You cannot lie your way out of this one.” Ivy said with so much hatred as she walked faster and gripped the bars of my cells startling me as she stared into my eyes with so much hateful emotions. “I know you have something to do with those stupid alphas, I don’t know what but I’ll prove it. Your scent is already a proof.”
I was tempted to wrangle my fingers out of nervousness.
But I knew that Ivy was going to suspect because she already knew my body language by now.
All I need to do was feign confusion and show innocence to all of these.
