A low rumble goes around the clearing signifying the wolves’ agreement. Most of these wolves come from packs who did not have kind words to say about Alpha Jared. Some of them maybe even brought those words to the council themselves. So while he’s not necessarily surprised by their willingness, something dark inside his chest is pleased.
The volunteers seem to understand the threat he’s just leveled against the council. Yes, Sebastian will be brought up on charges against the council should they push the issue, but the council will in turn face its own charges for neglecting their duties to protect this pack. Charges he hopes these wolves will bring forward on his behalf.
