“What about the former pack leader that have gone into hiding?.” he growls. “Jerome and his father.”
“What about him?” one of the alphas growls back.
“What about his charges?” Sebastian pushes.
“Do you have knowledge of any offenses?” the beta wolf asks.
“Abuse, for one,” he starts. “But also possibly holding these people against their will.”
“Those are serious charges, Sebastian,” one of the older alphas growls back. “Do you have any evidence for those accusations?”
“No more than what you heard today,” he growls.
“So that’s a no, then,” the alpha says flatly.
And before he can actually commit several of the crimes he’s just been found guilty of, the beta wolf cuts him off.
“The council has heard you,” she announces. “And will take your words under advisement.”
