I didn’t want to tell anyone about my date with Colin, but I forgot to call Laura later that night, so she decided to make me pay for it at girls’ night out the next day.
“Elise had a date yesterday. With a certain sexy syrup maker,” Laura said as she cut herself a piece of cake.
It was rainbow cheesecake, something Trinity wanted to try out. I was a sucker for cheesecake, which was good because I could stuff my face and pretend I couldn’t talk.
Unfortunately, Laura was free to talk for me.
