Well, that didn't sound like he wasn't in the know. It most definitely seems like someone had told him something or better still, someone had cared to share some information with him just before I would think of doing so. Perhaps, Ava had told him something but then again, she only saw alpha Zade approach us and that was it. I would say it was one of those instances where you don't know that something would happen, but it does.
