Ria's POV. As the words fell upon my ear, accompanied by her breath which stirred against my hair, my skin seemed to crawl with sparks of dread. Before now, I didn't know what it meant to be threatened neither did I know how it felt to be threatened. In fact, I couldn't recall a time that I was threatened. Perhaps, that was the very reason I froze, feeling rooted to the spot. Of course, I knew that at some point they would decide to make their move, but I didn't think that it would come so soon and neither did I think that they would bring the war to my face.
