If anything, I just realized that I haven't gotten any information out of him yet, no matter how little it happened to be, it would go a long way. Truth is, there's no perfect time to get the information wanted from him so if I keep pushing then I might not really get what I came for and that would mean no future with Carlos which would be so painful to me. So in order to avoid that, I'd to do what is necessary, hence the question. Of course, he didn't know why I'd come here in the first place or why I'd decided to join the competition.
