Arriving at the premises of the hall, I noticed the presence of some men standing in front of the gate and checking people in. It was as if they were looking for someone in particular. As I noticed that, I lifted my face as I turned to face Matthew who extended a hand to me with a smile on his face.
He obviously knew that I was scared, and he wanted to take that away from me so perhaps, that was the reason why he did so.
