As the words fell upon my ears, my heart seemed to plummet into my stomach as it felt like I was being nailed to the cross for the second time. I mean, I thought we'd gone past that already? Or was I deceiving myself all along by thinking so? Actually, it seemed like I was deceiving myself by thinking that we had actually gone past that.
