Walking from the tree line was slow going, but David had been able to crunch and stumble through the undergrowth, Miley in one hand with Lee guiding them. Lee had stopped a few times and told Miley to gather some wild Witch-Hazel that was growing in odd places along the forged path but warned her to keep it away from David. “He’s almost a full witch now, the stuff can seriously hurt him,” Lee had said, pointing to a few stalks of the flowering plant. “You’ll only need some; a little goes a long way.” Miley had nodded but remained silent.
