Dante’s phone rang.
He answered using his brother’s full name, unable to hide the laziness in his voice from lying in bed for the past few hours “Xavier.”
“Come out.”
Dante smirked. “I’d love to, but didn’t you send me away?”
“I was joking.”
“You should’ve said that.”
Xavier’s patience faded. “Where are you?”
“Asia.”
He stared at the phone. “You actually went?”
“I’m picking up your cybernetic secretary.”
Dante groaned, then, shifting around the warm bodies. “I thought it was a little too soon. You said go get her. So, here I am.”
“And you took me seriously for once.”
Dante chuckled. “Well, since I’m already here, I suppose I’ll just have to continue to occupy myself.” He turned the camera toward the women keeping him company. “See? I’m doing just fine without you.”
Xavier stared at the screen.
“You’re insufferable.”
The call ended.
Dante laughed, dropping the phone beside him.
“Touchy.”
He turned his attention back to the women, thoroughly enjoying himself as the night became increasingly decadent.
Then his phone rang again.
Dante glanced at the screen.
Alumicorp. His smile vanished.
He sighed and answered.
“Alumicorp,” he murmured, his voice low and dangerous. “You have terrible timing.”
