“I don’t know what to do Clarissa. She came home drunk again last night. I watched her climb up the hill and crawl into the house. She was so drunk that she could not even walk up the stairs. I am worried of she goes off to college she will kill herself in the first term.” Annabelle said. “Send here with me.” Clarissa replied. “Tell her she has to stay one year. Them she can go to college. Sweeten the deal and let her pick from the top three of her choice.” “I want her to go our Alma Mater though. It’s tradition for the oldest girl to go that college.” Annabelle said. “But which is most important, getting her away from the bad influences in her life or her going to your college? Clarissa asked. “I think I’ll just threaten to cut her off and see what happens.” Anabelle responded. I’m not even going to get into that argument with you again about how stupid that tradition is, I mean it’s just college. It’s what she does with her life that matters, not where she attends school for four years. Clarissa said. Anabelle sighed. “I can understand how it can seem silly, but I want her to go my Alma Mater. I want her to have the experiences I had with the Sorority. Some of those women I went to college with are still my good friends.” “Like I said, I am not going there with that conversation again. We’ll just agree to disagree. Are you going to send her up here with me? Or do you need more time to think about it?” Clarissa asked. Anabelle thought for a moment and replied “I will talk it over with Johnathan, and get back to you.” “Okay, there are some things you will need, if you decide to send her over, it’ll take 3-6 months for normal approval or an additional $600 for expedited approval. I will also contact my guy in Port Moresby about all forms we will need. And you need to be ready for a battle, because she will not want to come. Most teenagers don’t, then add the comfortable lifestyle and partying. It’s going to be tough. Can you handle it?” Clarissa asked. “I can make a board room full of men cower. I can handle my own teenage daughter.” Clarissa laughed. I’ve seen you in your board room. Okay. Just email me when you’ve made a decision either way and I’ll send you all the details. My data is almost out so I’ll talk you later. I love you. “Love you to sis.” Anabelle replied while exiting the app. Anabelle then reached over to the intercom system they had installed a few a years ago and pushed the little red talk button. “Johnathan come see me please sugar. We need to talk.”
