    The pair stared at the singular bed in the room as the door closed behind them, an awkward tension lurking in the air as they did so. Eliana had been unable to take her eyes off the bed and face her mate, who despite being ecstatic at the change of events, felt genuinely bad for his mate. He remembered his efforts to be on her good books, and as much as he wanted to share that bed with her, he chose to make a sacrifice that hopefully would serve him well in the long term.      ‘I’ll sleep on the floor, don't worry.’ He stated, easing the tension as he walked in and began grabbing on to the pillows on the bed.      ‘Wait’ interrupted Eliana, feeling guilty thanks to the mate bond.
