Max entered into Pierce's territory from all four sides at once, marching his troops in forcefully. His patrols did not give them any trouble, nor did they try to stop then and ask for questions. It was almost like Pierce knew they were coming.
How would he know that if he did not kidnap Saffron? They had not made it known that she was gone to anyone. Logan was the over ruler of all the territories, but Alphas still had the right to defend their own places. They had the right to stop the advances and ask why they were basically being invaded.
Pierce isn't the type of Alpha to roll over, so it was suspicious from the start. Once the advances made it to the center, near the pack house, Pierce himself came out to greet them.
