Chapter 6: New LivesAsh had been a nervous wreck as they packed, wondering if Tom and Jean would return home. As they started walking, she worried Dayna and Kevin wouldn’t be able to handle traveling through the woods and would complain about having to walk so much. But now Ash’s fears were gone. Dayna and Kevin were obviously excited. They’d been walking for two hours now and Ash felt happier than she had in a long time. She was going to find Matt, and had two great friends with her for the journey.
