Chapter 9: SuppliesThe screech of a bird woke Kevin up. He crawled over to Ash and Dayna and shoved their shoulders. “Wake up!” Ash jolted upright and brushed her hair out of her eyes. Dayna stretched and rubbed her back. Ash looked at her watch. “I didn’t mean to fall asleep. It’s three o’clock!” “I fell asleep, too,” Kevin said, digging around in the cooler. “Most of our ice turned to water.” Ash unloaded the cooler and pushed a spout on bottom, filling an empty bottle with the melted ice. She only spilled a little. “I’ll drag the cooler for now,” Kevin said as he tossed everything back inside.
