Chapter 21: June 9thDayna stood in front of a gigantic wooden desk and looked up at a judge. As usual, she knew she was dreaming.
“How do you plead?” the judge asked.
“Huh?” Dayna asked.
“Are you guilty or not guilty?”
“Of what?”
“You let your own father touch you.”
Dayna felt like she would throw up. “I didn’t let him!”
She turned and ran. There were hundreds of people in the courtroom. They all pointed and laughed at her. She jumped up and flew away. The ceiling didn’t matter. She sped faster and higher until she reached the clouds.
Tom appeared in front of her. “What are you doing?”
She shrieked and flew to the ground. As she ran through a forest and jumped over creeks and fallen logs, she heard him cursing behind her.
