Hitting The Law Books

283 Words
Sent to a room filled to the brim with law books, the team goes over every single one to see what they can do to defend Charly, and drive the fact that he's anti-social rather then a hardened criminal home. Dina was amazed at the many rules that were under the law, so much in fact that she had to be supervised by her teammates to put even one of them down. Carson, on the other hand, feels something doesn't feel right, understandably feeling that Ellen and Mick's willingness to give Crossroads a chance is suspect. Nevertheless, the g**g goes through law books like popcorn. Looking through everything from legal loopholes to flaws in the law just to see if they can give Charly's case a fighting chance. Ellen checks in on Team Crossroads' progress, amazed to how well versed that g**g has become at understanding the law. Laura notices her presence and Ellen excuses themselves to talk in private while the g**g sticks to their reading. While they are doing that, Dina notices Laura leaving to talk with Ellen and discreetly follows once she's verse enough at law to make a decent case at Charly's trial. None the wiser to Dina's absence, Carson Mason & Chloe finish gathering all they need to know to testify at the trial and decide to do different things. Carson decides to take an after-hour run. Mason decides to go home and play with his chemistry set, And Chloe decides to go out and look for Dina, being the only one who noticed her vanishing act. While out looking, she spots Dina lost in thought at their favorite sweets shop, Sweets Street, run by Grace Buttercream herself.
