"Daniel"Mrs Waters called."Go do your lundry".
"Aww mum,I thought you was 'gonna do it for me".Daniel replied.
"No I wasn't,get to work its Saturday.No dilly-dalling".
"But mum,I have a big date to prepare for".
"Big date?".Mrs Waters asked with a puzzled expression on her face."How come I'm just getting to know this?".
"You are just getting to kno because you were not listening to me when I was talking yesterday"..
"I was listening alright but I thought it was your friend zeke that is going on the date".
"You was not listening very well,I said Zeke was coming over to help me prepare".
"Okay.What's with the bad grammer?"
"Zeke and I decided to start talking that way".
"And why is that?"Mrs Waters asked.
"It makes us cool".
"Really?Who is the girl?".
"Fiona".Daniel answered
"Her folks are nice and she's a nice girl..I'm sure Tina and Jules would be glad to help you out since Zeke is not here yet".
"They sure would"Daniel said walking out of the lundry room.
"So who are you going out with?" Jules asked staring at his clothes rack.
"A girl".Daniel answered
"We know it's a girl".Tina countered."What's her name?""
Fiona Talbot. she is. eleven years too. and. she sits in front of me during maths class".
"I think i've found the right clothes". Jules said walking towards the bed. "Try these on".
"I'll be in the. bathroom". Daniel said.
"What is the world turning. Into?" Jules asked Tina. "I didn't go on a. date with. any guy until I was fourteen and I'm sixteen now".
"Me niether, I guess its a thing with the male Waters".
"How?"
"Augustus went on his first date when. he was elwven and now he. is seventeen now".
Grrriing, Grrriiing.
"Hey". Jules called into the. receiver.
"Hello, you know who this. Is right?"
"Yes,Ron".
"I am not doing anything tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to see a movie with me".
"I'll check my schedule and call you. back in five minutes".
Okay, bye".
"Should I turn him. down again?" Jules asked Tina.
"I suggest you go out with. Ron and. try to forget about my brother. He....................."
"Did someone just tell Jules to forget about me?" Daniel asked walking out of the bathroom.
"We are not talking about. You," Tina said. Run along you don't want to be late".
"Yeah, don't wait up for me, I might be back late".
Tell that to mum". Jules replied.
"How can I use one brother to forget another?" Jules asked Tina once they were alone again.
"When you go out with Ron tonight, try to keep an open mind and don't think about Gus".
"If only............"
"Don't think about the 'if' bestie, think about the now. Why don't you make that. Call to Ron and tell him to pick you up by six.?"
"If he picks me up, it. Would be a real. date".
"So?..............you haven't gone on a daate inn a long time so as a friend, a very good friend, I would advise you to go for this one".
"Thank you. Humph.........seems like you and the girls are going to have a Jules free night".
Tina replied. laughing."And we are really looking forward to it".
"So,how was. the movie?" Ronald asked as they walked out of the cinema.
"It was interesting, the only part I. did not. like was the part where Logan died-he should have had time to get to know his little girl better".
"Yeah he. should but they had to end it, he. has been alive and a hero for years".
"Well, he was not so old and this is my first".
"Maybey some of them".
"Okay, maybe".
"So.........how about dinner at marios?" Ron asked. not sure if she would accept his invitation. He had to take things slowly and he didn't want to press his luck".
"Okay".
The waitress appeared with two glasses of ice-cream soda and handed them their menus.
"I'll be back to take your orders and the ice-cream soda is on the house".The waitress said before sashaying away.
"What are you going to order?" Jules asked.
"I am having a hard time deciding, everything looks good".
"I think we. Should settle for pepperoni pizza, 'tis light".
"Okay".
The waitress appeared again with their orders and topped their glasses.
"Do you want to ask me anything?" Ron asked.
"No I don't".
"Are you sure? The principal made A big announcement last month. about prom".
"I was there". Jules replied.
"Are you sure you still don't have anything to ask me?"
"One hundred percent".
"Oksy if you insist".
"Jules". Tina called walking into the kitchen. "You got home late yesterday,I want to hear everything".
"I would say it when the girls come over this afternoon. So I don't have to say it twice but it was fun".
"gee...............I can't wait to hear it". Tina replied with a huge grin on her face.
