Jules stirred in bed and opened her eyes slowly.She stood up from the bed,walked to the window and opened the window blinds.It was bright and chilly outside.She walked to the bathroom and was done in 30 minutes.

She dressed in the black shorts and royal blue top she bought the day before when she went shopping.After almost five minutes of staring at her shoe rack,she finally settled for the black leader boots her dad gave her as a parting gift.She packed her hair into a ponytail,picked up her jacket and headed downstairs for breakfast.

"Good morning".Jules greeted as she walked into the kitchen.

"Morning,hope you had a good night rest?".Mrs Waters asked.

"I did".Jules said as she settled down on one of the chairs in the kitchen.

"Hope you don't mind having bagel and milk for breakfast? My kids love it".

"Not at all,its one of my favorite morning meals".

"Good morning Mum"Tina called as she walked into the kitchen.

"Morning,did you check to see if Gus has woken up?".

"Yup,he was almost done".

"Jules,when do we wear our uniforms?".She asked as she sat down.

"Every Thursday".

"Morning everyone,what's for breakfast?" Gus asked as he walked into the kitchen and planted a quick kiss on his mum's cheek before settling down with them.

"Bagel and milk".Mrs Waters replied on her way out of the kitchen.She paused at the door annd said."From tomorrow,we would all take turns in making dinner".

"Okay Mum"Tina said,"on your way up,tell Daniel to hurry down if he wants any breakfast".

"School resumes 8:30 and my car is at the mechanics till next week,so we have to join the bus and it leaves around 8:20.If we don't want to walk down to school we have to hurry".Jules said as she popped the last bit of her bagel into her mouth and picked up her milk glass.

The first bell rang just as Jules got to her locker,she quickly picked up her books and went for her first lesson.She was having literature first period and the drill of classes went on till lunch break.During her classes,she discovered that Augustina was in two of her classes and Augustus was in Biology wIth her.

Jules walked into the cafeteria and after buying her lunch went to sit at the table where her two bestfriends had saved a seat for her.

"what's up with you guys?" Jules asked as she sat."I didn't see you in class"

"we came in late and decided to sit at the back'' Katie answered.

"what about your cute crush?"Terry asked with a mocking smile on her face.

"What!!!!!!!!.........,I never toldd you had a crush on Gus"Jules exclaimed in a panic stricken voice.

"who mentioned Gus?"Terry asked.

"She has a crush on Gus??????" Tina asked amidst laughter.

"Whoever you guys think it is,just know don't have a crush on Gus.He is like a brother to me,his mum a............"

"Which is probably why you have been staring At him since he passed with that Lori girl"Terry cut in.

"I was most definitely not staring"Jules defended herself."I didn't even know she was in our Grade "

"Oh I see,your eyes just happened to stray there".Terry said laughing and almost choking on her food.

"Ok,guys can you stop bickering and change the subject"Katie asked."Jules we know you like Gus"

"Katie!!!!!!!!!!" Jules shrieked

"Yes we can "Tina answered laughing.

knock knock knock

"Jules"Tina called as she was knocking on her room door.

"Coming"Jules answered and. Opened the door."hey Tina"

"morning,Terry and Katie are downstairs we are waiting for you".Tina said.

"okay,let me just get my bag and I will come down"Jules replied.

"Good morning ma'm,sorry I couldn't come down for breakfast this morning."Jules said immediately she got downstairs and saw Mrs Waters reading the morning paper .

"There's no problem,just enjoy yourselves and don't get into trouble"Mrs Waters replied without looking up from the paper she was reading.

"okay.let's get going".Tina said with an excitement laden voice."Bye mum".Tina said trying again to get her mother's attention.

"Bye girls".Mrs Waters answered finally looking up.
