CHAPTER THREE “My mother, Mrs. Grace Akinbode died when I was sixteen years old.” Treasure did not know why she was opening up to Kemi, but she was. It was Sunday evening. Kemi had called her on Saturday morning like she always did to check up on her. She initially did not want to take the call, but she did and eventually cried helplessly into it. Kemi allowed her to let it all out and afterwards, suggested they met the following day to talk. They met up at the beach.
