Ch3
" Ahhh!! Where am I? My head hurts.", Val mumbled as he tried to reach out for his head. But very soon he realised that something was wrong.
" F*ck! Where in hell did my body go!! "
He was horrified as he observed his current state. His body was destroyed and his soul had been reduced to the size of a pebble. A bit more and he would be gone for good.
He scanned his surroundings. There was green vegetation all around him. It was a forest area and he could see some mountains in the distance. He realised that the scenery was unfamiliar to him. He was definitely out of the demon realm.
After moving for a while, he failed to find any traces of life in the area.
" Dammit! If I die. I am definitely going to haunt the pope of the peace council. That bastard…"
He needed to find a body ASAP or else his soul wouldn't last long. But he still had a problem. In his weakened state, it was impossible for him to kill any living being. He needed to find a freshly dead body or either a living being who was on the verge of death and couldn't possibly fight him off.
But it wasn't easy or maybe not….
" Clang! "
" Clang! "
The sound metal striking immediately drew Val's attention and he started moving in the direction of noise.
Very soon a crowd entered his vision. There were a few humans in armor fighting some strange green colored creature.
But as Val got closer to the group, he couldn't help but get shocked by the scene in front of his eyes.
The green creatures were none other than a low class member of the Demon race.
The goblins.
" What in hell are they doing here? ", Val couldn't understand the ongoing situation. He was very clear that this place was not the demon realm. After all, he was the Demon King, who could be more clear than him regarding this matter.
And he also very well knew the fact that the Demon Army never crossed the borders of the Demon realm. They only defended the borders. In fact, Demons were very docile creatures, they didn't even want the stupid war. It was the humans who were always fanning the flames of war.
" F*ck! Let's get a body first and then I will look at what's going on.", Val grumbled as he rushed towards the crowd.
"Clang!"
" Protect.."
" Slay the goblins!!!"
" Rraarr!!"
" Shnk!!"
" Splash!"
" F*ck! At least leave God damn whole body. Do you really need to slice him into two?", Val gritted his teeth in anger as he saw the bloody mess in front of him.
The moment anyone from either side fell, it wouldn't be a full corpse.
As Val was lurking around waiting for his chance to come, he saw two figures facing each other a few feet away from the commotion.
It was a Goblin and a Human.
" Chance!! "
Val's eyes immediately lit up with expectation. He could clearly see the goblin was the weakest among his comrades. It wouldn't be able to take on the human.
Even though a goblin was a low class race, he had to do with it. Later on when he would recover his powers, he could slowly build back his body of a Dragon. After all, his soul was still that of a dragon.
But as he went closer, he saw the human trembling. The sword in his hand was dancing due to his quivering body and tears and snot had covered half of his face.
" Y..You! I..I.. a..am a n..noble.. ", the human stuttered.
" Bang!"
The goblin struck the human with its own body taking him down before strangling the guy.
" N..no..h..help..s..som.e..bod…."
" What an i***t. Goblins are creatures without intelligence. How in hell could you reason with them?", Val looked at the guy with a disdainful look.
But soon he realised something. Now that the Goblin was the winner, wouldn't he have to take the human's body?
" No, impossible. I am the Demon King. How can I take over a human body?".
He shook his head and turned around to look at the other group of goblin. But he realised that they were winning the battle. If it continued, they would wipe out the humans without any loss. In that case, he still would have to choose a human body and that too a handicapped one.
In that case, wasn't it better to go with that the human over the-
" F*ck! You piece of trash!! You dare…", Val roared in anger as he rushed towards the fresh dead body.
He really was angered. The only good body that he was planning to take over was on the verge of being crushed by a boulder.
He had thought that the goblin had left after strangling the human to death. But how would have he known that the bastard would return with a large boulder to crush the dead body?
" Bang! "
The boulder dropped but there weren't any signs of blood below the boulder.
The goblin turned around to leave after his job was done.
" Where do you think you are going? You bastard I am not done with you."
The goblin turned around to look at the human which should be dead and crushed by now standing right in front of him.
" Rarrrr!!!"
It growled at Val baring it's fang before rushing towards him.
" Tsk...it can't even behave properly. Just shut the hell up already."
" Shing! "
Blood flew along with the goblin's head as Val unsheathed the sword.
