I walked straight to the sapphire counter. After the heat of the fitting room, I knew blue was her color. My eyes landed on a thin platinum chain—fine as a spiderweb. Maybe that was the style she was used to. But this one was stronger, more expensive. The pendant was a perfect oval sapphire. Classy. Luxurious.
