My jaw dropped when the car drove into Blackwood territory.
I expected the Alpha’s territory to be some camp in the woods, or maybe just a quiet little town. But what I saw completely blew my mind.
The bumpy dirt roads were gone, replaced by smooth asphalt. There were perfectly trimmed lawns and oak trees on both sides. In the distance, I saw modern buildings just as tall as the ones in the city—not cheap wooden cabins, but sleek high-rises made of glass, steel, and concrete. Further away, I even saw a neat shopping area with cafes, boutiques, and some restaurants that looked pretty upscale. Elegant streetlights were already on, casting a warm glow in the evening light.
"This... is your Pack?" I couldn't help but ask, my voice full of shock.
