OTARU: The Dragon Lord

"wahhhhhhhhhhh" the sound of a baby crying woke Koyo out of her sleep, sighing she got up and carried little Otaru up,

"Shhhhhhhh don't cry little one, are you hungry?.....yes you are" she spoke and fed her the milk she had kept previously,she watched as Otaru drank as if her life depended on it.

"Hahahahaha" Koyo laughed

"Slow down little one, no one is drinking it with you" it was as if she understood her, Otaru slowed down

"I hope dragon milk won't have any effect on you" she said looking at the baby in her arms, Otaru blinked her eyes as if to tell her no, she looked at the baby's brown irises, just yesterday Otaru's eyes were two different colours and the very next day looked so normal,

"What exactly are you baby" she said to Otaru.

Koyo looked outside the void, she remembered after the war Atari refused to leave with the other members of the tribe, he said he was waiting for someone but who was it exactly?

He never told her, he only said she'll know when she meets the person.

The ancient dragons were one of the strongest races born of Heaven and Earth, their source of power was derived from the countless living creatures in the natural world, and that power was the most precious ever, all dragons had cores "the source of life" as Atari called it, no dragon could live without it in exception of the dragon god, Atari's core suffered a great injury during Karkar's failed usurpation.

Little Otaru looked at Koyo, she rolled her eyes, "this woman really knew how to space out" she muttered in her subconscious, babies really couldn't talk and she was currently one,

she turned to gaze at the void Koto liked spacing out whenever she glanced at,

"What a strange dragon, the void clearly isn't holding her, why choose to stay?" She knew she had to grow up or this dragon will remain here for a long time.

Koyo thinking about Atari didn't notice the abnormality with the child in her hands, for she had gone to two thousand years back during Karkar's failed usurpation.

*FLASHBACK. ( TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO)

1120 ( THE YEAR OF DRAGON CLAWS)

"Atari we need to leave the palace" Koyo shouted at a very handsome man, one would think he was in his twenties but he was way older

"No leader runs with his tail tucked in" he answered with a smile

"Can you beat him, I heard he just advanced" she said to him

"You know losing faith in your husband is bad" he answered her with a smile

"I'll stay here with you" she said boldly, he placed his hand on her face and traced from her eyes down to her lips, he swallowed hard "I so want to kiss you" he said and he did, Koyo felt electricity run through her, his kisses were always Earth shattering, she felt her lips go numb and he let go,

"Hmmmn, I feel revitalized" he said with a smirk, she felt blood rush to her cheeks

"Were you born in the year of the dog, you can still do this at a time like this" she said and tried to raise her hands but she found out she could not,

"Atari what did you do?" She asked already having an omnnious prediction

"Have faith in me and watch me defeat the enemy, okay" he said and gave her a pat on the head

"Atari release me this minute" she shouted and with a wave of his hand she could no longer hear herself, Koyo couldn't believe this man, he sealed her acupuncture points for movement and speech, "what a fool" she said in her heart,

"Brother!" She heard a voice dripping with obvious venom shout and Atari turned, giving her full view of Karkar, the traitor and brother to Atari,

Atari walked to him and stood five steps away form him,

"I thought you'd have fled" Karkar spoke with a laugh

"Hahahahahahahaha, why would I run" Atari said with a smile

Koyo felt so scared, she looked at the sword dripping blood in Karkar's hand and she knew he had killed his way in, was this going to be the last time she would ever see Atari again,

"No" she said mentally,

"Do you have any last words brother?" Karkar asked

"I should ask you that" Atari said

"Hahahaha, I think it's this confidence that I have always hated but by reason of our brotherhood, I'll make sure when Koyo is found that I'll make her happy, hahahahaha" Karkar said with a laugh

Koyo mentally gasped, "what on Earth did Atari do?" She asked herself, she could hear and see them but Karkar couldn't see her, "what on Earth did Atari do?" She asked herself again,she has always heard that Atari is very powerful but to what extent she didn't know, looking at the brothers, she found out that they were already fighting, looking at the sword in Atari's hand, she gasped again

"The Lord God sword" she muttered, she never knew this god relic was in the hands of Atari, Legend had it that the holder of the sword had access to immense power,

"You really hid this sword well brother" Karkar said with a frown, Atari didn't answer and blocked Karkar's sword,

"All traitors......" Atari said and raised his sword high, muttering something that no one could hear, the sword shone bright red, slashing down he continued "......shall die"

All Koyo saw was bright red and when it became clear, she saw Karkar's head on the floor, with Atari still smiling, "just like that?" her mind asked, the coup Karkar had planned all his life ended just like that, she saw blood rushing out of Karkar's headless body, it rained down on Atari, Karkar's head rolled to the door and stopped and with a thud, Karkar's body fell, sighing she thought "Dreams and aspirations are nothing to a man who is on more" she just hoped Karkar would be reincarnated a good person.

Looking at Atari she saw him frown and dropped on one knee, a cold chill ran down Koyo's back, she felt her eyes water, he looked at her and waved his hands she could feel her body and with a speed she didn't know she possessed she ran to Atari's side

"Atari,are you okay?" she asked as soon as she got there, she sat down and placed his head on her lap, he tried replying her but all that came out was fresh blood, it sprayed on her face, her tears spilled from her face and fell on Atari's body

"Atari say something" she said whilst crying, he raised his hand and placed them on her face

"Shhhhhhhh, you're not cu....c...cute...when...yyyy...you...cry" he said with broken sentences and she cried harder,

"Listen ... to me m...y love" he said and wiped her tears,

"I'm fine, I'll just go to sleep for a long time, rule in my place" and with that he closed his eyes

"Atariiiiiiiiiii!!!!!" Koyo screamed.

Legend also said that when the Lord God Sword was forcefully used, the core of the user will shatter into nothingness and only a drop from Lotus of the upside down river could heal a shattered core but Legends are Legends after all truth has been filtered down history.
