DEATH OF LINDA

223 Words
Linda's eyes widened in horror as Malakai's blade sliced through the air, heading straight for her heart. She tried to defend herself, but it was too late. The blade struck true, and Linda felt a searing pain as her life force began to ebb away. As she fell to the ground, Linda saw the guardian's face above her, filled with grief and regret. "I'm sorry, Linda," the guardian whispered. "I failed to protect you." Linda's vision began to fade, and she knew that she was dying. But even as her life slipped away, she felt a sense of peace and acceptance. She had lived a full and meaningful life, and she had no regrets. With her final breath, Linda's spirit left her body, and she felt herself being drawn into a bright and shining light. The light enveloped her, and Linda felt herself being transformed, her spirit merging with the universe. The guardian wept over Linda's lifeless body, mourning the loss of her dear friend and protégée. Malakai, meanwhile, stood over them, his eyes gleaming with triumph and satisfaction. But as he looked down at Linda's body, he felt a sudden jolt of fear. For in Linda's eyes, even in death, he saw a spark of defiance and resistance. And he knew that Linda's spirit would not rest until justice had been done.
