Ella's POV: The jagged shard of glass sank deep into the man's chest. My colleagues and Mrs. Ferrell screamed and scattered in every direction. Ray clamped a hand over the wound, yanked the shard free, and completely snapped. He pinned Marie to the floor and slashed the glass across her face. Blood instantly streamed down her pale skin. A jagged gash stretched from her forehead to her chin, twisting across her face like a grotesque centipede. She writhed in agony, but no one dared step forward to help.
