I do not know how long I was alone in the tent. But I was so hungry, my mouth was dry from thirst. The sun had risen, and I could hear the voices passing by. Vance wanted me. He wanted to mate. How could I trust him though? He had been with his brother for so long. Trusted him. Loved him. Would he really be able to choose me over him? I did not think so. He had done many horrible things in the name of his brother. Too many. Including the killing of my Firefly pack mates and parents. I don’t think I could ever forgive him. His story was sad. If he was really bound by a magic spell to help his brother, he could not be trusted.
