Amelia’s POV I glanced at the clock for the third time in as many minutes, the hands inching toward six. The café was bathed in the warm hues of the setting sun, casting long shadows across the polished wooden floor. The usual hum of evening patrons filled the air, but my attention was fixed on the door, anticipation coiling tightly in my chest. For the past few weeks, Daniel had become a fixture in our lives, his presence as comforting as the aroma of freshly brewed coffee that permeated the café. Mark adored him, their bond growing stronger with each passing moment, their shared laugh and playful exchange.
