Ereshkigal stood on one of Irkalla’s many dry plains, waiting. Hannahanna stood as quiet as a jerboa mouse at her side. From the dark emerged a familiar shadowy figure, its body long and thick as a fallen tree. Hannahanna darted behind her. Kigal put a soothing hand on the woman’s shoulder before turning back around. “You called, Lady?” came the Kur’s voice as it sidled up to them. If the dragon thought the red stain upon her mouth and hands odd, it didn’t say so. “You will find me a dagger.” She did her best to keep her voice from wavering, to keep from taking on a ‘please’ or other nicety. “And you will take us both to the Gallas.” The Kur blinked, then snorted out a mighty laugh. “Tiamat’s Blood, someone has embraced her reign.” Kigal grit her teeth.
