Chapter Fifteen: Settling In

Maddy's POV:

        After some pleading and promising to take it easy with the Doctors they finally released me and told me to come back if I had any problems, being a high ranking wolfs daughter though I'm sure I wouldn't need to. I planned to avoid the hospital for a while until I was ready to start working again, my long stay has made me anti anything medical related for the moment. Then after much convincing I sent my family back home, they had their own pack to tend to, how long have they already been away just to watch me sleep. My mother was a wreck but after some reassuring words from Elijah she hugged us both and made us promise to FaceTime tomorrow, it was going to be weird not having them just around the corner but I could do this. I'm a big girl now and I have a pack I need to worry about now.

        Once they had driven out of sight I turned to Elijah, "Okay, show me around my new home, I'm ready to meet everyone"

        "I will show you everything en route to our place, we promised the doctors nothing too exciting today. I think maybe some bedrest for the remainder of the day and maybe a nice hot bath."

        "Ugh, fine. But tomorrow I'm meeting my new family."

        "Yes ma'am" and with a smile I was swiftly scooped up bridal style and carried through out the main pack house which was surprisingly empty but gorgeous to say the least.

    Once we reached the top floor, meant for the Alpha and his family, I was set down to explore and peak around. "Where is everyone? Is there a holiday I'm not aware of?"

        "No, I just had everyone scatter for a few moments so you weren't bombarded with people. They are all very excited I finally brought home their Luna and I doubt they could contain their excitement upon seeing you" 

       I just made a face as I continued to explore my new home. The pack colors were a golden brown with red flecks here and there and everything was modeled around them. There was a large open kitchen area that I swear could sit a family of 50 and a living room with multiple couches and the biggest TV I had ever seen. I pointed at it with a "Really" look which Elijah just smiled and shrugged "Its a necessity for game night" Figures.

        I finally made it to the end of the hall. The bedroom. Our bedroom. I opened the door and was honestly stunned. There was a beautiful four poster bed in the corner of the room, brown and red bedding with a dark wooden frame with matching night stands and dressers to each side.  

        Then the most beautiful chandelier in the middle of the room which really set the tone of elegance for the room. I walked in further to check everything out more closely, Elijah just stood in the doorway watching my reaction. I opened a closet door expecting to see Elijah's wardrobe but surprisingly saw my own familiar clothes along with tons of new items. I was about to ask when he piped in "I had a few Omegas run out and pick up a few things while we were getting your stuff unpacked. I hope you like it all"

        "Are you kidding? I've never had so many clothes in my life, I love them but you really didn't have to do that, I could of gone eventually. Also I could of paid for these myself" I kept looking at all the new items when the bottom of the closet caught my eye "Who needs this many pairs of shoes??" 

        "I didn't have to you're right but I wanted to. You are my mate, my Luna and you deserve to be spoiled a little bit here and there. I plan to do it for the rest of my life "

    This made  me smile and feel all warm and gooey on the inside. Elijah really did care about me and wanted me to have everything in life, although mental note to donate some of these shoes to the pack, he had gone a bit over board in that department.

        I walked over and embraced Elijah in the biggest hug I could, send sparks throughout my body. "Seriously thank you, I love everything and you will have to thank the Omegas who went out and got everything for me as well. "

        "I'm sure I can do that. Now are you ready to see the bathroom and get started on your hot bath?"

    My eyes lit up like a child on Christmas morning. A bath sounded amazing, I needed to soak and wash hospital smell off of me. 

        He led me to the back of the room to two doors which opened up to a beautifully marble tiled room about the size of the bedroom. It was the nicest bathroom I had ever seen. In one corner there was a large glass shower and in the other an olden four legged bathtub that was big enough to fit maybe four people.

    There was also a long counter that ran along the whole wall with two sinks and mirrors. I couldn't believe this was where I would be living now. There was also a large fluffy robe on each side, one saying "Luna", the other longer one saying "Alpha".

     My eyes must of been popping out of my head because Elijah started laughing and walked passed me and grabbed my robe and laid it next to the tub and started the water, adding bubbles and some oil that smelled like lavender and something else I couldn't quite figure out.

    Once the bath was half way full he turned to look at me, "I will leave you to relax and enjoy your bath, I will just be down the hall on the other end in my office, I have a few things I need to catch up on but if you need me don't hesitate to call for me" He stood up and kissed me on the forehead which sent sparks flying throughout my body and caught me off guard causing me to jump a little. "Um okay yeah I will let you know when I'm done" I smiled weakly.

    He looked at me like he knew something was up but he didn't press the matter, he just walked out and gently shut the door behind him. "Oh goddess help me" I muttered to myself as I got undressed and ready to get in the bath. 

Elijah's POV:

    I hated to leave Maddy but I didn't want to rush her into anything or push her boundaries. Tyler had basically everything under control this past week so I just double checked on a few piles of paperwork to pass the time. 

    Watching her take in her new home was so fun to watch, she was like a kid in a candy store every time her eyes set onto to something new. I was so nervous she wouldn't like our floor or the bedroom and I was prepared to change it in any way for her but the way she walked around showed me she was perfectly happy and content with hoe everything was set up.

        It had been about a half hour before I heard the bathroom door open and her little feet running to the closet which made me smile, I couldn't believe I had finally found my mate and that she was this tiny beautiful amazing woman currently rummaging through drawers in our bedroom. Our bedroom. I started getting nervous again seeing as how it was getting later in the day and sure we have slept in the same bed before but that was before she had endured the hell she just experienced. What if she needed some space? Although when I left the bathroom I could of sworn I felt some sparks, more on fire than normal, I hoped she wouldn't be going into heat anytime soon. I would hate our first time to be pressured. Sigh, we will cross that bridge when we get to it I guess. For now, just making her as comfortable as possible and easing her into her role as Luna was all that mattered.

        I turned my attention back to listening for her in the bedroom when I heard her call for me "Elijah? Can you come in here for a minute please?" To say I sprinted to her was an understatement but when I opened the door to the bedroom I quickly slammed to a halt when I saw this Goddess before me.   

    Maddy was standing in front of with nothing on but a black lace bra and panty set which quickly made my mouth run dry and lose the ability to speak. I stood there, Alpha of the Eastern Pack and I was completely at this woman's mercy. My mouth still hanging open she spoke, "I want you Elijah, I want to fully be with my mate".
