Especially not with her own.” Harun smiled down at Kelwyn, his hand a reassuring weight on the smaller man’s shoulder. It had been more than a month since they’d returned from their adventure in Jorland. There had been no sign of Lucretious in that time, so things had more or less settled back to normal. Harun acted as he always had, friendly and close, but not too close. Kelwyn hadn’t been able to bring himself to flirt any more, though. The serious rejection would have made Harun’s usual light-hearted refusals sting too much. “Right,” said Kelwyn, bringing his mind back to the matter at hand.
