I made my wya home, concerned about Roger and Angie´s safety. I knew it was a risky endeavor that Roger had put himself up to, but I never imagined that the whole thing could turn south this soon.
I arrived home using the direct portal to it, the one that is concealed in my office and that only allows Iris and the kids to go back and forth. A little perk I had Allegra set for me.
"Iris..." I called out to my mate, and she walked out holding Aurie´s hand.
"Hey, you're home early..." she said, and I laughed.
"I should be home at this time always," I said, and she nodded. Lately, work has been piling up, and I have been arriving later than usual. I knew my mate and the kids had resented a bit my late nights and crazy schedule, but until we get everything under control
