EMMA’S POV That morning for some reason, I just could not shake off the feeling of guilt as I attended to Maya's morning routine. My hands trembled as I helped her dress, and my mind raced with thoughts of the previous night's events. I had betrayed her trust, I had betrayed the trust of a woman who had been nothing but kind to me and the weight of that betrayal hung heavy on my conscience.
