Chapter 2- Rodney vs Ian

Nessan's POV
After the class
I come along with Ian on their village wherein their game will be held, and he told me that their opponents are coming from Shiozuka too.
We are here on the village's basketball court with Ian, I'm just shy to come closer and sit on the other side like hello, some of them are guys, much better if I'm at school. I just felt over placed because I'm not a resident of this village.
"Ok I'm ready" Ian greeted on me, Ian has already prepared to play but why he is on full gear? Yes, it's not too hot because it's already 5 in the afternoon but he is too covered up. Long socks, knee pad, arm sleeves, the only part that is missing on him is a hoodie.
"Why are you covered up too much, are you feeling cold?"
"Why? What's wrong with it?" -Ian
"Are you ready? Let's have a warmup" one of their teammates said.
"Where are those guys? But wait, I want you to meet Nessan, my friend" Ian introduces on me.
"Friend? Or lovers hahaha" what a stupid bunch of monkey, I pretend to laugh even though I've got irritated to them.
"Nope, he's just my classmate," I told them after they stopped laughing.
"Ouch, Solitario has been classmate-zoned, but wait Joey, where do you think our opponents right now? The outsiders are now bored and they want to play against us right now" the court is still empty and some of the guys are taking jump shots because they are scheduled to play here. If they didn't come, Ian and the company won't have a choice but to play against those stray men who are waiting on the basketball court.
15 minutes have passed and their opponents haven't arrived yet, I'm just sitting on the bleachers besides these bags. At least I'm not alone here. I'll just talk to the bags maybe they respond on me, what do you think of them? Dora's bag pack?
"Are your opponents will arrive yet? Let's just play together" the stray men told them while waiting.
"Let's just play against them, we don't want to waste our time because many players are waiting on us," Adrian told them, he is also our classmate alongside Ian, but we're not too close to each other.
"Are you ready?" the stray men stood up and went in the middle of the court to start the game.
"Wait!!" the players on the court had surprised and look towards the court's main entrance, wait a minute!!?
RODNEY BABES!!?
Yes he is, Emegeshhh he is one of Ian and the company's opponent?
"Sorry we arrived late, there's heavy traffic," one of Rodney's teammate says.
"You came just in time, let's go because many players around are excited to take your spot" -Ian
They went near in which I sit, I don't know why is my heartbeat beats so much, Rodney is near beside me.
TUG.....TUG.....TUG.....
Yes readers, he's the one I'm talking about. The tall, dark, and handsome guy.
I look straight on his eyes and he also looks straight upon me. Don't do that on me babe, you making me melt at the same time you can't focus on your game.
After that staring moment of us, he just disappears and I didn't recognize that the game is just started. You're so crazy Nessan.
Ian's team had the ball possession.
I don't know who I shall cheer for?? Team Ian or Team Rodney?? It is unfair if I cheer them both.
Then the game has started, Ian has the ball. He performs a crossover move in order to confused Rodney, because of Rodney's body build, he went straight in the middle and he didn't allow Ian to score. After making a jump shot, Rodney just blocks the ball on him. The ball was caught by Rodney's teammate after his block and went straight to their offense.
They give a fastbreak and Rodney catches the ball. He runs and left his opponents backward from the paint and perform a SLAM DUNK!! Because of that, I quickly screamed.
''AHHHHHHH!!!!!! GO RODNEY!!!!''

Awdee "Can you still play guys?" I told to Ian's teammates.
Ian has the ball, he can't go from the paint because of the defense of his two opponents. For Ian, Rodney isn't just a tall guy, he is also a fast runner. Because he is playing against a varsity player of Shiozuka Univesity. Then Ian fakes and scores with a jump shot. He's a ball hog, he has two teammates which is wide open, he didn't pass the ball to them but that's ok, he's lucky because the basket went in.
''Nice Ian!!! Just do your best, just tell me if you're exhausted already''
''Bleeehhh I can do this :p '' Ian pissed me off.

What an epic game. My Team Rodneybabes is really good, I'm not saying that Ian's team isn't good enough but when you look at Rodney's team, all of them can perform to their team. If Rodney can't score, he can give a good pass to his teammates and score an easy basket.
Ian has the ball again, Rodney didn't allow him to pass through him again on the pain. Ian is thinking, is he going for a jump shot? Is he going to attack the basket or hit a 3-pointer? Pass it Ian, pass it. You have a teammates who are waiting for your pass.
He made a pump-fake, pretending that he will shoot a three. Rodney left on the other side and Ian attacks but the opponent's center guarded him on the paint. Ian has no choice, he passes it to his teammate from the paint and scores. It's all last. The game is heating up from now.
"Don't allow them to score, we are on the last point" -Ian
Ian is now in a serious mode, Rodney is still chilling out. Is he serious? As a matter of fact, he is always serious.
Ok let's go back to the game, Rodney has the ball. He is trying to attack against Ian and shoot a jumper and misses the shot, but he gets the rebound on his missed attempt.
"Do you want a substitution, Ian?? I will replace you" I teased him because he's too exhausted already.
''I can do this ok'' -Ian
I was surprised when Rodney try to do a two-handed slam but Adrian jump to high and block his dunk attempt.
''WOOOOO!!!! GO ADRIAN!!!'' Adrian is 5'9" while Rodney is 6'5". Adrian is good also, he is quiet but he can perform well.
They chase the ball but Rodney got it. He performs a crossover move and hit a jump shot and....
It's GOOD!!!!!!
Team Rodney wins the game!! He's really really great!! I love you already!!!
After the game, they went straight to the bleachers because their bags are placed there.
''Kah Kah Kah!!!'' -Ian
"I told you to sub already, but that's ok, good game"
"Thank you Ness, but that was close, I just can't beat them because of his size" -Ian
Rodney went through Ian.
''Nice game dude, we won'' -Rodney
Rodney's team just left the court, that's it??? Is he snobbish? Just curious because I have a crush on him.
"Hayyyy, if I'm bigger than him, I can beat him" -Ian
"Even though you're not as tall as him, you can play well against him"
"And you? Who you're cheering a while ago huh? To Rodney? Or me?" -Ian
"Of course I am cheering on you, my throat just got hurt just to cheer for you"
"So why did you scream a while ago when he performed a slam dunk?" -Ian
What would I tell to him??
''Hep hep hep, why are you blushing? Don't tell me....'' I covered his mouth and I didn't allow him to finish talking.
"YES I HAD A CRUSH ON RODNEY...but please keep quiet ok?" I whispered to him so that no one can hear my secret, especially to his friends. This guy has a very loud voice.
"I told you so, he would never talk to you" -Ian
"Why not? He's just serious. If he talks to me, I'll ignore you :p" a while ago, I thought that he will talk to me when he tried to come closer to me, I'm falling from him when he tried to come closer to me, what if we had the chance to talk to each other. But the moment we stare at each other is a big achievement for me today.
"Hayyy, do you want to play again? I'm tired now" I told you so, his stamina isn't enough yet. More cigarettes to hit.
"Give me the ball" I borrow the ball and shoot from the paint and it went in.
"I wish I had the chance to play against him, for sure that I can beat him"

"Happy? I just miss you, we never see each other for the past two days" -Erica

"I'm fine, BTW I'm still happy today bestfriend, I saw Rodney play and he went closer to me, AHHHHHH!!!! I felt like melting when we stare at each other" I didn't hold my excitement already because I am very happy today. That's the way I talk if there is good news, I'm so excited to tell it to Erica.
"Really? What happened? Does he like you too?" -Erica
''MISSION FAILED, he snubbed at me. He also ignored my cheer''

"Hayyyy, good luck to you, thank goodness that I'm single. I don't face too many problems. And I need to go, you'll be late for your class, bye bestfriend" -Erica
